"Either I´ll never come home again, or I´ll come back a totally different Person!"
With these Words, Stephan Steinle leaves his parents´home in Basel in 1971. For three months he travels through Turkey, Iran Afghanistan, and Pakistan by bus, Jeep, Train and on foot along the "Hippie Trail". He sleeps under the open sky and is stranded in the Wilderness with no Money or passport, before finally reaching the Destiny of his dreams: Goa, the Hippie paradise of the nineteen seventies. In his search for meaning and Purpose, Stephan loses himself in hashish, Opium and LSD.
He eventually loses Control of his life and his Adventure nearly kills him. He spends Christmas in a mental asylum and ends up living on the street in Bombay. Finally, he has an Encounter with God and Returns home, as he had predicted, "a totally different Person!"
This is a former hippie´s account of the dramatic journey, wich led him back to India twenty years later, to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ, that had literally saved his life.
